Currently based in Washington, DC, Carolynne formed her consulting business in 2004 when she saw a way to combine her varied museum experience, affinity for tackling organizational issues and personal interest in architecture and construction.
Prior to independent consultant work, she applied an academic background in anthropology, museology and urban studies to more than 10 years of senior-level experience at the Smithsonian Institution and Fernbank Museum of Natural History. She holds an MA in Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts from Emory University and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Virginia.
During her career, Carolynne’s areas of practice have been guiding emerging organizations, institutional planning, marketing to the museum field and the development of over 45 exhibitions of various scope and discipline.
