The International African American Museum in Charleston, SC opened to the public in late June to much fanfare, accolades, and visitors in droves. Hosted by Phylicia Rashad, with speeches by Representative Jim Clyburn (SC), a video tribute by the Obamas, and performances from the likes of Ranky Tanky and Bebe Winans. We were incredibly honored to be a part of the effort since 2021 to bring this important site of conscience, memorial, and educational experience to the public. You can read and see some of the press and praise here, here, in this piece on the "Today Show" and in this moving piece on CNN.
